Squirrels

What species do we have in Southern New England?

Here in Southern New England, we have the Eastern Gray Squirrel, Red Squirrel, Southern Flying Squirrel, Eastern Chipmunks and Woodchucks. The two most common types of squirrels that we find in homes are the gray and flying squirrel.

Fire hazards

These rodents love to chew wires. Studies show that 25% of all  house fires are rodent-related.

Damage to structures

Squirrels want in, and they're not asking. They will chew right through most building materials. Many times we find entry holes in soffits, fascia boards, and anywhere else they set their sights on.

Huge family tree

Throughout the world, there are about 275 species of squirrels! Squirrels range in size from some being as small as five inches - to three foot giants!
